New York Weight Loss Experts Introduce CoolSculpting by Zeltiq to Freeze & Eliminate Fat Cells for Body Sculpting

Scarsdale, NY (PRWEB) August 24, 2010

For those looking for a trimmer physique, Dr. J. Shah, M.D., board certified bariatric physician, is pleased to announce that the CoolSculpting by Zeltiq Procedure, a new non-invasive procedure for fat reduction, is now available at Amari Medical Weight Control & Body Sculpting in Westchester, New York. Gentle and effective, the CoolSculpting by Zeltiq Procedure uses an innovative method of precisely controlled cooling to help reduce unsightly fat bulges and pads that do not respond to diet and exercise.

What makes the CoolSculpting by Zeltiq Procedure different is that it uses an advanced tissue cooling technology to selectively target and eliminate fat cells without harming the skin. In just a few months, the CoolSculpting by Zeltiq Procedure gradually reduces unwanted abdominal fat, love handles (flanks), or back fat without needles, incisions, or anaesthesia and there is no downtime. Clinical studies have shown that the CoolSculpting by Zeltiq Procedure can reduce the fat layer thickness by up to 22.4% within two to four months post-procedure after a single procedure.

The science behind the CoolSculpting by Zeltiq Procedure is called Cryolipolysis, which was developed by world-renowned dermatologists at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA, USA, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School. Their research showed that fat cells are naturally more vulnerable to the effects of cold than other surrounding tissues, and that fat cells can be safely eliminated without harming the overlying skin. This discovery led to the development of the non-invasive CoolSculpting by Zeltiq Procedure.

Dr. J. Shah, Board Certified Bariatric Physician explained that Cryolipolysis is a breakthrough in the science of fat reduction. He noted that using advanced cooling to eliminate fat cells is advantageous compared to existing devices which utilize heat, sound waves or other mechanical techniques. The proprietary CoolSculpting by Zeltiq cooling technology induces fat cells to undergo a process of natural fat cell removal which gradually reduces the thickness of the fat layer.

?The Zeltiq procedure is different because it uses a cooling technology to safely target and eliminate fat cells without harming the skin. In just a few months following the Zeltiq Procedure, there is a gradual reduction in the thickness of the fat layer resulting in cosmetic improvement of fat bulges,? said Dr. Shah ?This is undoubtedly good news for anyone who is seeking spot reduction for specific areas of fat but is not considering a surgical invasive procedure. In fact, our patients report that they can feel a difference in how their clothes fit, even before they physically see a contour change in the treated area.?

According to Dr. Shah it is important to understand that the Zeltiq Procedure is not intended for weight reduction, and it is not intended to replace other invasive procedures, like traditional liposuction, for those seeking for more a pronounced result in fat reduction.

The Zeltiq Procedure is comfortable for most patients, and no pain medication is required. While undergoing the procedure, most patients keep themselves occupied by reading, working on a laptop, listening to music, or just relaxing. Also, there is no recovery time after the Zeltiq Procedure and patients usually resume their normal activities the same day, including work and exercise.

Winter Skin Care Tips from the Experts at The Peer Group

(PRWEB) November 30, 2011

During the winter, health becomes a huge concern with the increase of germs among flu and cold season. While many people like to focus on taking the proper steps to keep a healthy immune system, the skin, which is the largest organ of our body is often forgotten, and left unprotected. With the cold months quickly approaching it becomes even more difficult to keep your skin comfortable and smooth for that youthful look everyone strives for.

Luckily, nature already provides a surface lipid barrier to keep moisture in, but when the air turns cold, the environment pulls moisture from skin leaving you flaky, dry, and uncomfortable. The Skin care experts at The Peer Group have the right tips to prevent this from happening!

1. Drink plenty of water. It?s the age old advice for many issues, but it really does work! Make it a habit to have a glass of water when you wake, at each meal, and before bed. You can?t keep your skin hydrated if there isn?t any water to begin with. Also, practice moderation with dehydrating beverages like coffee and alcohol.

2. Get rid of dead skin and cellular debris with a gentle exfoliation. You can find a good product for this at local drug and grocery stores, but be sure to avoid rough, granular scrubs for the face and body. For those with thicker, more oily or acne prone skin, a product containing glycolic and salicylic acids is more appropriate.

3. Moisturize! Consistently moisturize and re-hydrate your skin with proper products. Routine application can help keep your skin soft and supple.

????????? Follow a morning cleansing and moisturizing routine that includes products with humectants, which are oil free and absorb moisture from the air.

????????? If skin feels tight, spritz with aerosol spring water followed by a moisturizer.

4. Avoid hot showers. The high temperature can strip moisture from the skin however; a warm soak with oatmeal can allow the skin to soften.
